Expands During Shutdowns
Amid the raging COVID-19
pandemic and many strict
lockdowns in Israel, the
International Christian Embassy
Jerusalem (ICEJ) experienced a
surprising growth in its programs in
Israel and its impact globally.
CORONAVIRUS ASSISTANCE
Highlights of the ICEJ’s assistance
to Israelis during the coronavirus
crisis include:
• Served 55,440 meals to elderly
people and needy families in
the greater Jerusalem area
• Gave out 19,515 hygiene kits
and medical supplies to elderly
people, Holocaust Survivors,
and emergency response
teams at the Gaza border
• Distributed 2,851 emergency
and Passover food baskets
to Holocaust Survivors, single-
parent families, and other
disadvantaged families
• Provided 483 gift cards to new
immigrants and single-parent
families
• Purchased 109 computers
for immigrant students and
disadvantaged families for
distance learning due to the
lockdown
