Visitors are invited to enter, read, and study
in the inspirational reading halls upon
obtaining a free-of-charge reader’s card.
Silence is strictly observed in the main
area, but there is a study lounge where
conversation can flow freely, in the long-
standing Jewish tradition of discourse as an
essential part of learning.
Best of all, all areas of the Library are free of
charge, excluding gallery tours where you
can choose between for-pay guided tours or
self-guided headphone tours.
There is also a visitor experience for families,
specially designed for children aged 3 to
12, that provides an opportunity to explore
the wonders of the Library while enjoying
quality time together.
The free Bloomberg Connects app, available
for download from Google Play or the App
Store, provides an insider’s view of the
Library and is accessible onsite or from
anywhere in the world. By following the QR
codes distributed throughout the building,
the app provides the information needed to
help you get the most out of your visit.
More tailored group experiences can be
arranged through the Visitor Center, which
also offers themed tours such as Art &
Architecture, Sephardi Heritage, Green
Building & Sustainability, and more. Catering
options are available as well.
After any tour, enjoy a cafe and a treat in
the Library's cafe. Plus, the bookstore offers
unique gifts to remember your visit.
Make your visit to the National Library of
Israel an unforgettable part of your journey
through Jerusalem—where culture, history,
✦and inspiration meet.
