                                                                    encounters and events described in the Gospels and the
                                                                    Apocryphal Books.

                                                                    Qasr el Yahud

                                                                    Located on the Jordan River, 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) north of

                                                                    the Dead Sea, and open daily to visitors, this is the traditional site of
                                                                    the baptism of Jesus Christ by John the Baptist.

                                                                    The Garden of Gethsemane

                                                                    Located at the foot of the Mount of Olives, the Garden of
                                                                    Gethsemane is most known as the place where Jesus prayed while
                                                                    His disciples slept on the night before His crucifixion.
